The Central Hotel is a beautiful throwback to the history of “Little Berwick.”
This family-owned establishment in the heart of Beaconsfield offers an atmosphere not many pubs have these days. The welcome feeling of a cosy family atmosphere is at the forefront of what the Central Hotel offers its clientele. The site of the pub was originally the Panty Gum Gum Station property, a squatter’s run which had its first lease granted in 1845. This makes the pub feel like a slice of history right in the middle of Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs.
The Central hotel is a community pub. You will almost always see the pub assisting the local community as best it can. Fundraisers have been held regularly at the pub for the community over the years and you can guarantee there will be more to come.
The kitchen at the Central Hotel is open 7 days a week! They specialise in “sneaky” cheeseburgers and other pub classics which will satisfy even the most ravenous of cravings.
The bar is a great space to relax and for some fantastic entertainment! It has all the features that you could possibly want in a bar including cold beer, TAB and many pool tables. The massive outdoor area is perfect to relax and watch the sunset over a beer. There is also a jukebox available so you can play your favourite tunes! Every Friday night the bar turns into a pumping live music venue with DJs and acoustic acts.
