What makes City Scramble BBQ Cook-off so popular?

This action packed activity around the city will see teams armed with, a map, ingredients list, digital camera and a booklet containing a list of items to collect, photograph and beg borrow or steal.
Teams will set off around the city trying to gain as many points as possible by completing set tasks whilst searching the city for their list of food ingredients! These points will be vital as the team that has accumulated the most points will be given the opportunity to enter the food pantry and select additional ingredients and cooking utensils.
The task instruction booklet outlines a variety of different items to collect or photograph with varying points being allocated to each item. Teams must decide, do they go for more lower point items that maybe closer in distance or do they go for a single higher point item that maybe further away and more difficult to find.
City Scramble tasks include things like:-
- building a human pyramid,
- photo paparazzi,
- yesterday’s news
- CPR, walking the dog,
- performing a good deed,
- finding objects, salute to nation,
- working out cryptic clues, clockwork
- break dancing and much more!
Teams must watch the clock to ensure they are back at the designated area on time or they risk having vital ingredients taken from them as a penalty.
Once all the teams have gathered at the designated area, it’s now time for the BBQ cook-off. Teams will receive their menu and now it’s time to unleash their culinary creativity by cooking up a storm on your Aussie BBQ to create a meal fit for a King, aka our panel of judges.
Teams will then begin to collaborate together to start planning their menu and delegating tasks. Now it’s time for each team to showcase their BBQ skills as they begin to cook the meal of their lives, after all what team doesn’t want to be receive the Ultimate City Scramble BBQ Cook-Off title.

Turn up the heat or get out of the kitchen or off the BBQ!
Whilst teams are frantically preparing their meals, at various times throughout the event, teams will need to participate in some group challenges all designed for a bit of extra fun and and to turn up the heat. If teams can’t handle the heat, then it’s time to get out of the kitchen!
The winners of these challenges will win bonus points, ingredients, utensils or time that will give them an advantage over the other teams.
Teams need to watch the clock to ensure they deliver their masterpieces on time to our panel of judges.
The event culminates with our judges awarding scores based on taste, presentation, originality and teamwork. Along with the scores from the judging panel, each team will also have an opportunity to taste each dish and score it based on taste and presentation. This is where teams can play fair or score strategically.
Once all the scores are in and tallied, it’s time to announce the winners!
This is an activity that not only motivates and inspires teams to work together to achieve success but builds loyalty, trust and a common respect for one another. This activity is guaranteed to be full of fun, laughter and of course plenty of team bonding along the way.

Q: IS THERE ENOUGH FOOD FOR EVERYONE?
Answer
Teams will participate in at least two battles so there is plenty of food in this program for everyone to eat and enjoy. Most groups will use the program as a fun team bonding exercise but also as replacement to your breakfast, lunch or dinner saving your budget.
Q: WHY IS THIS PROGRAM SO EXPENSIVE?
Answer
The program is more costly then most as we need to provide a qualified chef and also provide sufficient food for the group. The larger the group the lower the cost per person.
Q: HOW LONG DOES THE PROGRAM RUN FOR?

We can tailor the program from as little as 1.5 hours up to 2.5 hours if you like.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
We will try to be as flexible with any changes you may have prior to your event. If you need to cancel your event and it is more than 14 days from the scheduled date and you choose not to reschedule it, we reserve the right to retain 25% of the total fixed price amount or
If you choose to cancel your event and it is less than 14 days from the scheduled event and you choose not to reschedule it we reserve the right to retain 60% of the total fixed price amount or
If you choose to cancel the event on the day for any reason including weather, we reserve the right to retain 100% of the total fixed price amount.
If at any stage you choose to reschedule your event, then we reserve the right to charge a re-booking fee of 20% of the total fixed price amount or $300.00 whichever is the greater.
